RailOne, Indian Railways' all-in-one passenger app, has reached 4.76 crore downloads and is recording roughly 10 lakh daily ticket bookings, according to a Ministry of Railways release dated August 12, 2026.
What the app now handles
The ministry says the platform combines reserved, unreserved and platform ticketing along with train enquiry, PNR enquiry, RailMadad and journey-planning tools. It also uses single sign-on so passengers do not need multiple railway apps and passwords for basic tasks.
The larger story here is not only app popularity. It is the steady shift of railway passenger services toward a unified digital front end, which can reduce counter pressure and shorten routine waiting time if backend systems remain reliable during traffic spikes.
